Maddy joined Godfreys in March 2022, wanting to work in a smaller firm to have the opportunity to advance her interests in Life Law and to gain experience in a variety of areas. Maddy’s work is with trusts, Wills, and Enduring Powers of Attorney. Having strong relationships with clients is important to Maddy and she values providing practical advice to clients and removing legal jargon so clients can fully understand and be involved in the experience. 

Maddy studied at the University of Canterbury and completed an LLB in June 2019. She originally started with an LLB and BS in psychology before deciding law is what she wanted to pursue, so focused her studies on one degree. Maddy was born and raised in Christchurch, but has strong ties to the Mackenzie country, having lived in Twizel for a couple of years of her childhood.

Outside of work, Maddy enjoys taking her dog to the forest and beach, bike riding, and working on DIY projects around the house.
