About Erika

Erika joined the Godfreys team in June 2024, bringing with her an extensive background in Relationship Property Law. While favourable to Relationship Property, Erika is also passionate about Elder Law, including Estates and Property Law.   

After finishing her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Canterbury, Erika moved to Western Australia. During this time, Erika worked on large scale commercial construction projects, which sparked her interest in dispute resolution and property matters. Following her move back home to Christchurch, Erika started practising Law in 2020 where she gained her Relationship Property expertise working with two Senior Family Law Barristers. 

Erika strives to provide excellent communication, ensuring her clients feel supported and properly advised through often stressful situations. A quality service that clients can depend on, is most important when dealing with client’s personal matters and Erika is here to provide ease during these processes.  

When not supporting her clients, you can find Erika wandering around the Port Hills with her family on their bikes, or off walking one of New Zealand's Great Walks.
