Brad McDonald - Partner

Doggedly determined to do the best job for his clients, Brad works tirelessly to ensure best outcomes are achieved.

Brad brings the youthful element to the partnership being made a partner in 2008 at the age of 30. Brad is unique and does not fit the mould of the stereotypical lawyer. Brad takes a holistic approach to his work and endeavours to give an all encompassing view from the perspective of all parties involved in a matter. This approach enables Brad to look for resolutions to problems rather than immediately taking an adversarial approach to issues.

This approach works particularly well in Brad's niche area of employment law but equally in all areas of Brad's practice which include commercial, property, and asset protection.

Brad has a number of passions and has had the opportunity to indulge his interest in Canterbury heritage in his recent governance role as trustee of the Canterbury Heritage Earthquake Board Trust before its functions were absorbed into Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga.

Outside of work Brad can normally be found working in the garden, walking his three dogs around the Peninsula, spending time practising his turntabilism or contemplating his love of the pinot noir grape.
